The family owned and operated Coachman`s Rest Motor Inn, Eden is located on the beautiful Sapphire Coast, half way between Sydney and Melbourne and just two and a half hours drive from Canberra.  Eden is also accessible by air flying directly into Merimbula Airport.  Just 20 minutes drive to Eden, our courtesy coach will collect you from the airport.

We cater for families or couples on self drive holidays and also corporate and business travellers.

Offering unspoilt beauty surrounded by National Parks and situated on the shores of Twofold Bay (one of the deepest natural harbours of the world), this old whaling town has so much to offer.  Bush walking, diving, fishing on the local game boats, cruising Twofold Bay on the catamaran “Cat Balou” where you will see dolphins, Sammie the seal and explore our rugged coastline.  An exciting time is September-November when whales are passing close to our shores.

The Coachman`s Rest is set on two acres and is your ideal destination for everything Eden and the NSW Sapphire Coast, has to offer.  For those guests with an interest in golf or bowls, we are conveniently located opposite the Eden Golf and Bowls Club and the home of the Sapphire Coast Golf School.  Golf Clubs are available to hire at no cost, for all in-house guests.  Hairdressers and good shopping are also at your doorstep.

The Lamplighter, our onsite restaurant has capacity to seat 100 guests and the seafood is selected fresh for our restaurant by our Chef daily.
